for GWR 4-6-0 Castle class at 10 mm/ft
FIRST LOCOS AS BUILT: Use T185 for the outer drivers and T186 for the centre drivers as in the prototype engine No 4073 Caerphilly Castle (Photo in Russell, A Pictorial record of Great Western Engines vol. 2, p. 150).
Full sets consist of 4 x T75 leading, 4 x T185 outer, 2 x T186 centre drivers and 6 x T20 tender wheels
SOME LATER LOCOS: Use T186 for all drivers as in 5022 Wigmore Castle (Photo in Russell on same page).
Full sets consist of 4 x T75 leading, 6 x T186 centre drivers and 6 x T20 tender wheels
EVEN LATER LOCOS were built new with the 1930's wheels (or later aquired them), with some reinforced spokes, and the gap filled near the pin (like the Kings) - I have not made a pattern for this wheel at this scale.
Suitable for Gauge One Fine or Standard
The prototype driving wheel weights are surface mounted plates, and are not cast in.
