Follow the pavement left from the Village green, up Leather Lane

Continue past Highfields, then go left up some concrete steps along a path between the houses. (To avoid the steps go along Highfields and right through a car parking area, across a ditch to join the path further down.)

Continue along the side of field with the hedge to your left. At the bottom of the hill go right along a permissive length of path.

Go ahead into Mill Lane and turn left. Go over the bridge at the bottom of the lane and go right on to another length of permissive path.

Go ahead along the bottom of the field past a path joining form the right and go left up a narrow uncultivated strip across the field to the top side.

Go left a short distance to an unmade-up track on your right. Go right between the houses to the road. Go right towards Tilbury juxta Clare.

Follow the road into Tilbury then go down Tilbury Hall Chase lane on the left.

Go left over a wooden bridge into Pound Field.

Go ahead along a narrow uncultivated strip to the far side of the field.

Go left a short distance, then go right through a gap in the hedge.

Go ahead and over the boardwalk and bridge. Take care not to disturb fishermen at the nearby lake.

Go through a gap into a field, go right a short distance then left up an unmade farm track to the top of the hill.

At the top of the hill go ahead to the field entrance at the Ridgewell Road and go left. Follow the path where it was diverted briefly from the road during road widening. Where the path rejoins the road, cross the road and go right for a short distance away from the village.

Go left down a narrow path between fences. Go ahead over a bridge and across a field with a fence on your left to a gap on the far side.

Go left along the track of the adandoned railway line to where it slopes down on the site of a removed bridge.

Go right and along a concrete farm road past a farm building on your right.

At the far side of the field go left and up the hill with the hedge on your right. You will pass the end of the grass landing strip on your left.

Go through the gap at the top of the field, and turn left towards the village.

Go ahead with the hedge on your left, though a gap into the next field. Ignore the path from the sports ground on the right, continue along a narrow uncultivated strip across a field to a gap in the hedge opposite.

Go ahead, ignore the unofficial path joining from along the old railway track on the right. Continue with a field on the left and houses on the right.

Join Great Yeldham High Street from down the concrete steps beside the Police Station. (To avoid the steps go through the gap on the right side to Whitlock Drive, down onto the High Street, left, then right to the Village Green.)

Cross the road to return to the village green.
